Well it's true. Thats really Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi giving up the smoke. Via his Tumblr blog, Cud Life on April fool's day Cudi clarified, sparing no detail, that he was done being everyones' favorite stoner and had things that he needed to take care of. I mentioned this post was coming earlier, and now that I am sitting here actually writing this it kind of makes me proud. Being a long time Cudi fan, I have grown with him over the past 4 years or so. Him making this change is just apart of what artist actually go through in their careers. The changes that, that kind of lifestyle brings about help cultivate the best kind of music, winding together wisdom and experience with renewed vigor and vitality. Look for nothing, but the best from a newly sober Cudder over the next few years, but lets take a moment to salute the memory of, "Mr. Maui Wowie".
